Malaysia One-Day Trip with the Workers' Party! Part 4

After durians, we went over to the mushroom farm and factory! Had a short tour of the area and saw how growing mushrooms artificially was. Wood dusts and combined with other materials make up the base and they planted the mushroom inside for it to grow in some covered huts that were dark.

The one above doesn't really look that nice eh. But hey! Abalone Mushroom below!

a HEDGEHOG mushroom?

Looks like fungus! oh wait, they are mushrooms.

Malaysia One-Day Trip with the Workers' Party! Part 3

Arrived at Tangkat! The durian plantation's entrance was a single-lane, dual-carriageway road and since one side is taken over by our buses, there were security officers to take care of traffic.

Durians weren't that good in my opinion. Maybe it's due to the fact that it's nearing the end of the traditional durian season. Some were not as tasty as the previous time we went with Workers' Party to Malaysia for durians as well. But I managed to grab a few really tiny durians that were supposed to have that fragrant bitter taste and I wasn't disappointed! Too bad I didn't take a picture of that tiny one, too busy eating. heh

Malaysia One-Day Trip with the Workers' Party! Part 1

Woke up really early to wait for bus along with many other residents of Paya Lebar Division on a trip to Malaysia organised by the Workers' Party! :D

Had breakfast after crossing the border but did not manage to get any picture ): breakfast was at Taiping (I think) and had roadside stalls selling rattan furniture!

Restoran Shan Ghai Tang was the place for our lunch. Food was okay, nothing amazing.

That lady was our tour guide! She calls herself Yi Xiao Li, as opposed to Singapore's artiste Yi Da Li!
Then there are some shops around the area.

Formula 1 SingTel Singapore GP 2012

5th F1 SGP, my 5th year of participating. Proud to be part of F1 SGP once again!

Was selected as Info Booth Ambassador at Gate 2 and went thru training as usual.

Thru this training session, I actually won a pair of F1 Saturday Walkabout passes! Woohoo! My mum had her 2nd chance while my dad had his first chance at watching F1, Ferraris and Porsche live at the Marina Bay Street Circuit! :-D

I even prepared my own custom Survival Kit for them! I guessed they enjoyed themselves!

For me, I was there alone but met my fellow Info Booth Ambassadors! They were friendly and even though they were a couple, I didn't feel left out. They were great fun!

We even had a chance to give out Fanzone Wrist Tags! Got some other girls to help tear those tags. I made quite a number of friends!

There were fellow ITE students manning the Survival Kit booth as well. Didn't manage to get a picture but they provided us with so much entertainment throughout the 3 days. They were awesome!! Mr and Ms Ponchos!

Well, SGP Pte Ltd signed another 5-year contract so I'm hoping to join them for another 5 years (hopefully)! I want to give it a shot for Supervisory position within SGP Pte Ltd! :-D
